The 42nd IASP World Conference on Science Parks and Areas of Innovation took place in Beijing from 15–19 September 2025, bringing together delegates from around the globe to exchange knowledge and explore the future of innovation ecosystems.
The 42nd IASP World Conference on Science Parks and Areas of Innovation took place in Beijing from 15–19 September 2025, bringing together delegates from around the globe to exchange knowledge and explore the future of innovation ecosystems.
The program featured technical tours, training seminars, plenary sessions, and breakout discussions on key topics such as urban transformation through innovation, cross-border collaboration, smart cities, industrial development, and the impact of artificial intelligence.
During the General Assembly, members voted for Dhahran Techno Valley in Saudi Arabia to host the 2027 World Conference. The IASP flag was officially handed over to Sophia Antipolis, France, host of the 43rd edition, while Salvatore Majorana succeeded Lena Miranda as IASP President.
The Beijing conference once again highlighted the crucial role of science parks and areas of innovation as drivers of sustainable and inclusive development worldwide.
