The Fifth National Conference of Iran Association of Science Parks and Innovation Organizations
The Fifth National Conference of Iran Association of Science Parks and Innovation Organizations, titled "The Future of Innovation Organizations in the Age of Artificial Intelligence," was held on November 5–6, 2025 at Science and Technology Park of Sistan and Baluchestan in Zahedan.
This national event brought together a wide range of participants, including managers of science and technology parks, research and technology funds, universities, knowledge-based companies, innovation ecosystem stakeholders, and representatives from executive organizations. About 250 managers and experts from 31 provinces attended the conference.
A total of 82 papers were submitted, of which 57 were approved, including 27 poster presentations, 16 oral presentations, and 14 papers published in the conference proceedings.
The conference opened with speeches from the Chair of the Association's Board of Directors, the University President, the Head of the Science and Technology Park, the Conference Scientific Secretary, the Deputy of Technology and Innovation at the Ministry of Science, and the Keynote Speaker of the Conference.
Eight specialized sessions were held over two days, focusing on applications, challenges, and impacts of artificial intelligence in Iran’s innovation ecosystem. Session topics included:
Data security and protection in the age of AI
AI applications in evaluating and supporting innovative companies
Digital transformation and the role of AI in innovation organizations
The role of financial institutions in the age of AI
Scalability and organizational culture in response to AI
Challenges and innovative opportunities in AI implementation
Human resources and adaptability in the AI era
Redefining the role of parks and funds in Iran’s innovation system
These sessions were attended by managers of parks, heads of funds, university professors, and industry experts.
In parallel, an AI achievements exhibition and a visit to the South-East Museum of Iran were organized. The General Assembly of the Association was held, discussing future programs and development policies.
The closing ceremony included speeches from the Minister of Science, the Head of the Board of the Innovation and Prosperity Fund, the Director of the Ministry’s Technology and Innovation Support Office, the Head of the Science and Technology Park, and the Chair of the Association's Board, and recognized outstanding papers, sponsors, and recipients of the Doogiyan Award, which was presented to selected companies.
The conference aimed to explore the impact of AI on the future of Iran’s innovation ecosystem, foster collaboration among active institutions, and strengthen technological cooperation between science and technology parks, funds, and universities. It marked a significant step in clarifying the role of innovation organizations in the AI era and enhancing cross-sector interactions.
